Fuggie Kasipa arrested for illegal firearm
Musician Fuggie Kasipa of the Dale Wangayo fame was arrested on Wednesday by Blantyre Police for being found in possession of a firearm without a licence. .

Blantyre Police Station spokesperson Elizabeth Divala confirmed the arrest but referred The Nation to Southern Region Police spokesperson James Kadadzera for more details.
“I can confirm that police have arrested Fuggie Kasipa who is currently being kept at Blantyre Police Station. But for more details talk to Southern Region Police Headquarters,” she said.

Kadadzera expressed ignorance on the matter, saying he was out of the office on other duties in Neno District.
When called back, Divala said there were scanty details on the arrest of Kasipa because investigations were still on-going.
“What I know is that the arrest of Fuggie Kasipa is a result of long investigations instituted by police. But as I earlier indicated, investigations are still underway so give us more time to do our job and come back to you with conclusive details,” she said. n
