A team of gospel hip hop artists descended on Mzuzu City at the close of their tour of Malawi and called on the youth to refrain from immoral practices and strengthen their relationship with God.

The Live Wise and Die Ready movement made the call during their tour which invaded Malawi’s major cities; Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu with gospel hip hop music, testimonies and advice.

The tour attracted artists from the United States of America, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.

Despite coming from different countries and playing different tracks, the artists had one common message for the youth, that is refrain from evil ways and live a meaningful life.

USA’s Bizzle called on the youth to strengthen their relationship with God and refrain from immoral ways which are capable of destructing their lives and their relationship with God.

“It’s our plea that the youth have to strengthen their relationship with God and live wise. If God changed me He can do that for anyone,” said Bizzle.

Another USA artist ,Lavoisier, who was into drugs before he found Christ warned the youth against drug dealing, arguing drugs have claimed lives of many potential young people.

Zimbabwe’s Ill Ceey, the artist behind the phrase Live Wise and Die Ready, said it pains to see a younger generation being wiped out because they lived recklessly.

The artist called on the youth to concentrate on education which would help them secure good jobs or venture into meaningful businesses.

Malawi’s hip hop gospel artist David Kalirani who was also into drugs, said drugs have claimed a number of lives and he was lucky that God saved him from destruction.

The artists were Zambia’s Chungu, SA’s DJ Eazy and Malawi’s KBG also hailed the Mzuzu show which they said had the largest patronage.

Pastor Reuben Matundu of Word Alive Ministries International, Mzuzu, who was among the organising team for the Mzuzu show called on the artists to consider visiting Mzuzu again as the show had a positive impact on the youth.
