When I informed the President, he directed that my ministry donate maize and kitchenware. Since the number of victims is on the rise, we will assist all the affected. ”

Nankhumwa said it is government’s wish to help its citizens in times of disasters and they should look forward to more support from government.

500 people were targeted with 20 kilogrammes (kgs) of maize each, plastic cups and pails among others.
