Govt content with community broadcasters

The Ministry of Information, Tourism and Culture has expressed satisfaction at how community radio and television stations are contributing to improving livelihoods of rural communities in the country. The ministry’s principal secretary Chimwemwe Banda said the community broadcasters are mobilising strong support for development at the grassroots. She said this on Thursday at a Central Region Community Broadcasters Training Workshop organised by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (Macra) in Lilongwe.—RACHEL KACHALI, Staff Writer
