The Great Angels Choir, who recently performed in Mzuzu during their CD and DVD launches, will be performing in the city for the third time, but this time at the invitation of Victory Christian Temple’s fundraising event.

The Victory Christian Temple Conference Hall is still under construction since it laid the foundations in 2007. The floor and the ceiling are still incomplete.

According to Great Angels Choir Music director, William Zonda, all is set for the performance in Mzuzu next week.

Commenting on sharing the stage with Kamwendo Banda, who is also an awardwinning artist, Zonda said it will be fireworks as they respect her, being a veteran musician in Malawi.

“We have great respect for Ethel, she is a veteran musician in gospel music, a woman of humbleness and a crowd puller and, as Great Angels, we are proud to be sharing the same stage with her because we are still a baby in music and we learn a lot from her.” said Zonda.

He appealed to their Northern Region fans to come in their large numbers to help the Victory Christian Temple achieve their goal.

On his part, senior pastor and founder of the Victory Christian Temple, Moffat Phiri, confirmed said they need to raise about K4 million for hall, which can accommodate over 4 000 people once complete.

Phiri said apart from the Great Angels and Kamwendo Banda, other artists to spice up the show will be Thoko Suya, Martha Kasambara Katsache, Donnex Muva, Kelvin Sato, Gloria Hope Fatch and Maria Nundwe. n
