If I were

If I were Khumbo Kachali 2

Vice-President of the Republic of Malawi and Minister of Health, I would do something about the shortage of essential drugs at the country’s largest referral hospital, QECH in Blantyre.

If only I were sibweni Khumbo, I would realise that the issue that requires my urgent attention is the shortage of essential drugs in hospitals and not standing on political podiums to dress down political rivals.

I would appreciate that it is a crisis for a referral hospital to run out of essential drugs for three weeks.

In fact, as the minister responsible for health, I would excuse myself from presidential functions to attend to such critical issues.

I would realise the need for my ministry to come out very quickly and address the problem other than waste time castigating one Atupele Muluzi who has resigned from the Cabinet.

That is if only I were the Minister of Health and Vice-President of the Republic of Malawi, the Rt. Hon Khumbo Kachali.
