‘Imitate God’s character’
Youths at Chilumba CCAP in Bangwe Township, Blantyre, have been urged to imitate God’s character if they are to enjoy their youthhood.
The church’s session clerk Esnart Maseko made the call last Sunday during a luncheon Young Christians Association of Chilumba (YCAC) held to launch their activities for this year.
“Weigh anything you are to do if it is acceptable at God’s sight. You have to imitate Him. Walk with Jesus Christ always,” said Maseko.
The church’s moderator Reverend Roy Zingani asked the youth to cast their net wider to win fellow young souls to the Lord.
YCAC vice-chairperson, Limbani Karanya, said the luncheon was one way of getting new members on board as invitations were extended to the church’s other groups whose young members do not attend YCAC meetings.
Brain-teasers, poems, drinking competition, dances and Bible quiz were some of the activities that spiced up the event. n
