Comedian John Nyanga alias Izeki has been re-admitted to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre months after he was discharged.

The last time Izeki was admitted to the hospital was in June and discharged in August last year. In an earlier exclusive interview with The Nation Izeki said he had been in and out of the hospital because of Mangitis and Tuberclosis.

Izeki’s partner Eric Mabedi, aka Jakobo, confirmed Izeki’s hospital’s readmission in telephone today

Said Mabedi: “I took him to the hospital on Monday monrning. He is anemic and he was put on drip.”

However, just like the first time he was admitted to the similar hospital, the news of his sickness was received with mixed reactions from fans. Reports were rife on the social network that the comedian has died.

But Mabedi refuted the rumor mongering.

“This is not the first time for the social media to kill Izeki including others by disseminating false information. But the truth of the matter is that he has been admitted at QECH,” said Mabedi.

Izeki is one of the country’s long-standing comedians who has been entertaining people for many years. He has performed alongside Kwathu Drama Group over 30 years before concentrating on his ministry called Synagogue For Hope Church at his Ndirande residence where he is known as Project Z.
