JB meets Queen Elizabeth, Cameron

Malawi President Joyce Banda on Wednesday briefly met with Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Banda arrived in the UK on Monday morning to attend the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee events.

 

 

 

The trip has come barely two weeks after Banda’s administration moved in to repair the worsening ties between Malawi and her major bilateral development partner and former colonial master, Britain.

In the picture, the Queen, who is celebrating 60 years of her reign, is seen meeting Banda at a Commonwealth Luncheon at Marlborough House in London. The luncheon was attended by several Commonwealth and world leaders.
