Judge Mtambo orders prosecution to start parading witnesses

Justice Michael Mtambo has ordered the prosecution in the former budget director Paul Mphwiyo attempted murder case to start parading witnesses at 2pm today after denying them an adjournment.

The accused persons in the attempted murder of Mphwiyo have pleaded not guilty to the two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The prosecution has eight witnesses to strengthen their case among them Mphwiyo himself.
Lawyer Ralph Kasambara, Dauka Manondo, Pika Manondo, Macdonald Kumwembe and Robert Kadzuwa are accused of attempted murder of Mphwiyo whose September 13, 2013 shooting outside his Area 43 residence has been indirectly linked to cashgate.
