Meanwhile, the Malawi National Lottery (MNL) has launched the Jerusalem Raffle, in which 20 lucky winners will go on a 10-day visit to the holy land in Israel.

The visit will take winners to Judea, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Sea of Galilee and Capernaum, among others.

MNL public relations writer Phillip Banda said the project is in collaboration with churches that are willing to participate.

“MNL will produce the Jerusalem Raffle tickets that will be sold at K500 each and distribute them to the churches in collaboration with each church’s organisational structure,” he said. (With additional reporting by Brenda Twea, Staff Reporter)
