Kadzuwa heads NR Coaches Committee

The Northern Region Coaches Committee (NRCC) on Saturday elected McNebert Kadzuwa as chairperson.

Kadzuwa, who led Ekwendeni United FC into Malawi’s flagship Super League in 2008, replaced Elias Gomile who did not seek re-election.

Kadzuwa beat his challenger, Christopher Nyambose, by 13-5 votes.

The position of deputy chairperson went to Patrick Mwandosha who coaches Embangweni FC.

General Secretary is Kondwa Ikwanga whereas the organising secretary is Tiwonge Kamkhwati Mkandawire. Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa was entrusted with the committee’s purse. His deputy is Market Rangers coach George Bulundi Kaunda.

Committee members include Wilberforce Longwe, Saulosi Nyirenda, Elias Chirambo and Innocent Kuchikonde.

Speaking after the elections, Northern Region Football Committee (NRFC) general secretary Masiya Nyasulu said he was impressed with the results. He declared the elections free and fair.

FAM referees sub-committee chairperson Zuza Nyondo advised the new committee to dedicate themselves to their duty, especially on football rules if they are to improve the sport in the region.
