Kajoke, Sambani in Ukraine visa processing hitches

Nyasa Big Bullets left-back Precious Sambani and striker Hassan Kajoke have returned from Kenya where they were expected to process Ukraine visas ahead of their trials at the European nation’s top-flight league club FC Rukh Lviv.

 However, Bullets chief administration officer Albert Chigoga yesterday said the visa processing has not been completed because the players did not have required documents.

 “After submitting their documents in Kenya, they were told that more documents such as bank statements were needed to finalise the visa process [application]. The players are now back home and we are expected to make that arrangement today [Thursday],” he said.

 Chigoga, however, said the development will not affect their trials. Sambani and Kajoke yesterday confirmed the news, saying they were hoping that this will not hinder their Ukraine prospects.

 “We have been told that we will wait for about two weeks, but everything is in place for the Ukraine trip,” saidSambani.

 Lviv are currently third from the bottom in the 12-team Ukraine league with 15 points from 18 matches, having won four, drawn three and lost 11. Shaktar Donetsk lead the table with an unbeaten run.

Kajoke had an outstanding debut 2019 TNM Super League season, finishing as second top scorer with 18 goals behind eventual golden boot winner former Silver Strikers’ Khuda Muyaba (21).
