In women’s category, 36 handicaped Marian came tops with a 14 points score while Teri Amaro (h/c 18) was the runner-up on 10 points.

Chimwemwe Chimwaza had the longest drive on hole number two (combined).

Supa Fit managing director Kassim Aroni, whose firm deals in wheel alignment, wheel balancing and tyre fitting, said they organised the ball pool to commemorate one year in business.

“We are proud to be here and sponsor golf for the first time and having made a mark in our service delivery for a year that we have been in this business, we thought it wise to celebrate with you our customers,” said Aroni, himself a golfer.

Supa Fit also donated a set of tyres for a tractor which is used to maintain the golf course and pledged to sponsor another tournament at CCL in due course.

BSC golf captain Webster Kaunga thanked the 52 golfers that took part in the tournament, which he described as an impressive turnout for a ball pool.

He also thanked Supa Fit for the sponsorship.

“We thank you for being the first to sponsor the first official golf tournament this year,” he said. n
