KB still to use Dedza Stadium

Despite that Dedza District now has its own team (Dedza Young Soccer Stars) in the Super League, Kamuzu Barracks (KB) insist they will continue to use Dedza Stadium as their home ground.

KB have been using Dedza Stadium as their base for two seasons now.

za-untd_-kamuzu-baracksIn an interview on Saturday, KB coach Temwa Msuku said officially the stadium is their home ground and, if anything else, Dedza Young Soccer Stars will need to seek permission from them.

“It is our home ground and that is on record, and we will continue to use the facility as our base despite that the district has its own team in the Super League. We have no problems with Young Soccer Stars using the same as their home. It happens elsewhere,” said Msuku.

“Civo United and Epac FC use Civo Stadium as their home ground. Kamuzu Stadium is also home to Big Bullets, Azam Tigres FC and Be Forward Wanderers. In fact, it is a blessing to the people of Dedza to have two Super League teams. They will now be able to watch Super League action every weekend,” he said.

In a related development, KB chairperson Blaise Saenda has announced that Msuku has been confirmed by the club’s management as head coach.
