Kwaito coach Patrick Tembo said their preparations have gone on well and his team is set for the finale.

“Our aim is to qualify for this year national championship and we are doing everything possible to achieve that,” said Tembo.

Defending champions Moyale’s team manager John Chirwa said their eyes are firmly set beyond the regional finals.

“We want to fight for national honours, so winning the regional championship is, therefore, not an option for us,” he said.

To qualify for the finals, Moyale beat Rumphi Sisters 2-0 while Kwaito trounced Ekwendeni Sisters 4-1.

Northern Region Women Football Committee (NRWFC) general secretary Salakunja Chimanga yesterday said all is set for the final match.

Blantyre Zero and DD Sunshine emerged champions in the South and Centre respectively.

The South will feature two teams by virtue of being hosts and this means runners-up Ntopwa Super Queens, will also take part in the national finals. n
