Lawi to headline Search for a star

Lawi will on Saturday headline Sunbird Search for a Star at Sunbird Capital in Lilongwe as contestants in the competition battle in the second round of the competition.

Voting is in progress since the premiere show at Sunbird Mount Soche and at least four contestants will be eliminated from the competition on Saturday.

Sunbird Tourism Limited public relations officer Akossa Mphepo said that voting is going on well and encouraged people to vote for their favourite contestants.

“To keep your favourite contestant in the competition people you need to vote. One phone number is entitled to one vote to one contestant so it is vital to mobilise as many people as possible to get voting,” said Mphepo.

Mphepo expressed satisfaction over the premiere show while on the other hand noting some shortfalls which she was quick to say they are working on.

The top 16 contestants checked in at Sunbird Capital on Monday for a week of training while receiving VIP treatment at the hotel.
