There were no winners or losers after the show dubbed Cream of Blantyre versus Cream of Lilongwe held at Robin’s Park in Blantyre on Sunday.

The show was not meant for the artists from the two cities to outclass each other, but rather to unite in spreading the gospel.limbani-simenti

Limbani Simenti took to the stage an emotional performance as he shed tears while performing Ndikuoneni. The dance floor was turned into a holy ground as the patrons raised their hands while others were in tears as the worship song was being performed.

Kamuzu Barracks brought back the gig as they marched on stage in a military parade fashion while the audience picked on the dance as they sang Zandiolotseni.

Other performers worth watching included, Peter Uyu Mlangeni and the Marvelous Deeds, Mlaka Maliro, Ndirande Anglican Voices, the Mighty POV and Favoured Martha.

Chairperson of the organising committee for the show, Emmanuel Nyambalo, said all performers did well and made it a great show.

“The aim was to preach the gospel and all the groups lived to that. This was also a time for the gospel artists to say thank you to all their fans. We don’t take our audience for granted. We hope Lilongwe fans will be there to witness the clash on Sunday,” said Nyambalo.
