Lloyd Phiri releases music video

Barely a few days after launching his seventh gospel album, Lloyd Phiri has released a video for his latest album’s title track Sachedwa Safulumira.

The video is expected to start beaming on the public broadcaster MBCTV this week. Phiri said the video has been released to garner support ahead of the album launch slated for June 30 in the capital city, Lilongwe.

“We want people planning to patronise the audio CD launch to have a feel of what it is going to be like on June 30,” Phiri told Malawi News Agency

He said unlike his previous videos, Sachedwa Safulumira has been done with a lot of expertise to meet what gospel enthusiasts have been longing for a long time.

Phiri disclosed that originally the launch was meant to be for both audio CD and DVD but financial constraints have forced him to launch them separately.

He however hinted that the release of Sachedwa Safulumira video might mark a start to a DVD project.

Meanwhile, Phiri has said he intends to revive the prison ministry which he started sometime back but stopped due to other ‘pressing commitments.’
