The elective assembly was initially scheduled for November 28 in Blantyre, but it was called off at the eleventh hour after disagreements over some members to pay K1 000 annual membership fee.

The new date was agreed upon after the LTAM executive’s meeting that was presided over by the Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) on Sunday according to LTAM general secretary Chris Kachale.

He added that they have also extended the period for the payment of the body’s membership fee to December 16.

Kachale said the constitutional amendment will not be conducted at the AGM as earlier agreed, but will be done separately at a later date. n
