Lulu at Mibawa Café tomorrow

Versatile musician Lulu will rock Mibawa Cafe tomorrow evening.

This will be the first time for the Nd’zalerahit-maker to perform at Mibawa Café since Nde’feyo Entertainment Company took over management of the entertainment venue.

Nde’feyo manager Khumbo Munthali told The Nation that they have organised the show after getting calls from their patrons.

“Furthermore, Lulu is talented and very versatile; so, we felt as we should bring him to continue our trend of bringing the best in the entertainment business at the cafe,” he said.

Lulu, who will be backed by his Mathumela Band, was ecstatic about the return to Mibawa Café and promises an electric performance.

“We had extensive rehearsals for the past two weeks and we have mastered a lot. As usual, it will be full Mathumela magic,” said Lulu.

He said they have had extensive training because some of the band’s members, who are music teachers, had travelled to South Africa and Mozambique on assignment.

However, Lulu added it is interesting that everybody will be present at Mibawa.

“It will be a reunion and the morale is high,” said the musician, who is today performing at the launch of Lucius Banda’s Thank You album.

Perhaps Malawi’s only artist who can compose, dance, play various instruments and also sing, a combination quite rare across the globe, Lulu said he is always grateful to Malawians for their relentless support to his music.
