Lup Technologies (Luptech) has brought relief to job hunters in the country by introducing an SMS based system service dubbed Jobs 777 which is sending job vacancies to its subscribers.

Luptech, which is run by Chiphetsa Wirima and Laghano Mwaisunga, who have just graduated from Polytechnic in Information Technology, sends a minimum of four job vacancies to its subscribers per day.

Wirima told Business News that Luptech aims at providing access to employment opportunities to job seekers. “Our company realised that many people spend more time moving up and down hunting for jobs hence this service will solve this problem. People subscribe with us so that we should be sending them vacancies on daily basis,” said Wirima.

Wirima said people pay K50 to get vacancies for two days or K150 to receive job vacancies for seven days. Furthermore, people pay K500 to receive job vacancies for 30 days.

“People send the money via Airtel Money to the nickname ‘Jobs 777’ and we immediately start sending them job vacancies,” said Wirima.

Wirima said apart from picking the job vacancies from local leading newspapers, Luptech is connected to a number of local and international companies and organisations which give them their job vacancies which Luptech forward to its subscribers.

According to Wirima, the company has so far registered 176 subscribers and he is hopeful that more people will subscribe. He said currently, the company has started with people who are on Airtel line and soon TNM users will be enabled to subscribe as well.
