Lusubilo Band said it has finalised preparations for a 10 day trip to South Korea where they are scheduled to perform at three shows in October.

Speaking during the Mzuzu leg of the Music4Life Festival at Mzuzu Upper Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Lusubilo Band leader Manase Chisiza said the band is expected to hold three concerts in South Korea starting from October 16.

“We are done with all the logistics and finalised the songs that we plan to record in South Korea as we will use the event to record the band’s second album Kachitsa,” said Chisiza.

The band released their debut album Africa Inuka in 2012. According to Chisiza, the trip has been made courtesy of South Korean volunteer Professor Agness Kim.

The Afro-pop music band is a product of Lusubilo Music Centre, an art institution under St Mary’s Parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Karonga Diocese where young people are nurtured to be music leaders.
