After missing Lilongwe fans for six months, Nd’efeyo Entertainment’s new gospel signing Patience Namadingo returned to the capital city on Boxing Day and celebrated Christmas together with other gospel artists.

The show attracted gospel gurus in the name of Bon Kavala Banda, Lawi, Evance Watsopano Mereka, The Great Angels, The Marvellous Deeds, King David, Peter Uyu Mlangeni Allan Chirwa, Bishop Joe Manguluti, Kondwani Chirwa and Peter Sambo.

Namadingo received exceptional response when he got on stage.

His preamble was Yesu Wamayankho before playing a Bob Marley song One Love spinning the audience into ecstasy.

Then he played Yesu Anandiwombola that was followed by the hit maker Mtendere. Then he fused the song into different genres. From the original R ‘N’ B tune, he played it in Manganje version. He then fused it to house, reggae and then a Nigerian touch.

“I am flattered with the reception I received today after being absent for six months. I missed my Lilongwe fans and it’s a privilege to be back home on a day like this one Boxing Day,” said Namadingo who is now based in Blantyre on Nd’efeyo Entertainment’s projects.

Great Angels Choir too had their moments with their track Ndiyende that saw fans singing along every line.

Allan Chirwa turned the marquee into praise and worship sessions. Congo based King David played Timange, a rhumba track.  While Bishop Joe Manguluti played Tili Awiri ndi Yesu that also sent the audience on cloud nine.

One of the regular patrons, Dorris Ndindi, described the bash as the best show of the year.
