Organisers of Malawi’s maiden motor show have said the event which is slated to take place this weekend has attracted foreign brands who will come to support their locally based dealers.

According to Malawi Motor Show consultant Samuel Chiwaka, Bosch will send two expert technicians from South Africa while Telplus Zambia—a vehicle car tracking company is yet to confirm their participation.

“Bosch technicians will support their official dealers Royal Motors. Whether you need a repair, seasonal maintenance or travel check-up on your vehicle—whatever brand Bosch will attend to your vehicle from mechanics to electrics and diesel technology,” said Chimwaka.

He added that on Friday around 11 am vehicle owners can book for free vehicle inspection testing performed by Bosch trained technicians.

According to the consultant there will also be Malawi Blood Transfusion Services (MBTS) which will have their stand for visitors to the motor show to donate blood as it plays a major role when it comes to road accidents.

The Malawi Motor Show, which is being staged at the Blantyre Sports Club, Blantyre will open with a corporate evening in the evening this Friday while the actual motor show will take place on Saturday according to the organisers.
