Urban music hot stepper Maskal perches at Blantyre’s Mibawa Café on Saturday for a first live performance to include his newly released singles from the forthcoming album Umunthu.

The artist said it would be a chance to celebrate a new beginning to a journey into a greater challenge of maturity.

“I am thankful for the reception the singles have been accorded. It humbles me a lot to have people associate with the message of love in the singles. It challenges me to do more.

“I, therefore, thought it was high time I took the music live to the people so they can connect to it more. It must be an awesome new beginning. It’s another step into a long road before me. It calls for maturity and my fans are central to achieving that,” he said.

Backed by a new band which he described as ‘a brave lot on a valiant mission to serve audiences’,  Maskal will share the stage with the resident band which has etched its name and prowess across the hearts of live music enthusiasts.

Usatope and Zili Ndiiwe are enjoying massive airplay.
