Urban music hot stepper Maskal perches at Blantyre’s Mibawa Café on Saturday for a first live performance to include his newly released singles from the forthcoming album Umunthu.
The artist said it would be a chance to celebrate a new beginning to a journey into a greater challenge of maturity.
“I am thankful for the reception the singles have been accorded. It humbles me a lot to have people associate with the message of love in the singles. It challenges me to do more.
“I, therefore, thought it was high time I took the music live to the people so they can connect to it more. It must be an awesome new beginning. It’s another step into a long road before me. It calls for maturity and my fans are central to achieving that,†he said.
Backed by a new band which he described as ‘a brave lot on a valiant mission to serve audiences’,  Maskal will share the stage with the resident band which has etched its name and prowess across the hearts of live music enthusiasts.  Â
Usatope and Zili Ndiiwe are enjoying massive airplay.
