Roy ‘Abromo’ Mdechi has returned to Super League Epac FC four months after he quit as general secretary.

He has retaken the position as the team has set up the first-ever full executive committee.

Mdechi, who quit due to undisclosed wrangles in the team, confirmed the development in an interview on Wednesday.

“Yes, I am back at Epac. I have had a number of meetings with the owner (Dean Josiah-Banda) of the team and he asked me to return.

“I left because of problems within the administration and had no issues with Banda so that is why I decided to return.

“Over and above, I love this team and I am concerned about their poor start of the new season and I would like to help,” he said.

Apart from Mdechi, the new committee has Trixon Chiutsi as chairperson and his deputy is Missi Bwanali. Marshal Banda is the vice-general secretary. Aaron Ndalama is the treasurer and his deputy is Sam Elias.

“The team has no proper administration structures and the last time I was here, I used to do all duties alone. So, we discussed that we should elect an executive committee and did that last Friday, but we started operating on Tuesday,” said Mdechi

Epac, who shone in their debut Super League season last season finishing sixth, are finding it tough this season.
