Miss Curvy shifted to June after hiccups

The inaugural Miss Curvy Malawi finale has been postponed to June because of problems encountered during preparations for the event.

Initially, it was scheduled to take place this month but has been shifted to June end, organisers have said.

“There were a few preparations that faced hiccups. For example, scouting in the Southern Region took a little longer than expected. Most of the girls participating live across the region and yet the base was Blantyre, so this delayed meetings for measurements and pre-sign-up assessment.

“But now we have identified four for the South, four to represent the Central Region and two more amazing models from the North. So, Excite is definitely pulling this off in grand fashion in June,” said Diana Liabuba, Excite public relations manager.

As part of the prize, the winner and her first princess will participate in the first ever Miss Curvy Africa pageant in Zimbabwe in August.
