Mlusu retires from Nico after 41 years of service

After 41 years of dedicated and distinguished service Felix Mlusu has finally retired as managing director of the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)-listed conglomerate Nico Holdings Limited.

Speaking on Thursday during his farewell party, Mlusu described his journey with Nico as exciting despite several challenges he met during his service.

“I have endured the storm and gone through various challenges at Nico, but I must say it has been an exciting and rewarding career. I want to thank Nico for giving me such a satisfying career. If Nico was not there I don’t think I would have had this career,” said Mlusu who joined the then State-controlled company on July 8 1975 as management trainee.

Nico Holdings Limited board of directors chairperson Al Osman said during his service, Mlusu steered the company to what it is today.

On his part, Mlusu’s successor VizengeKumwenda said as a manager Mlusu embraced every employee and guide the Nico family to an admirable family not only in Malawi, but beyond the borders.
