Mpulula clarifies mist over Epac job
Leo Mpulula has clarified that he has neither been fired nor suspended as head coach for Lilongwe-based Epac FC because there are no such clauses in his contract.
Mpulula, who was absent when his team suffered a 5-3 defeat by Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday, said in Blantyre yesterday that the only acceptable term is termination of contract in the teams’ constitution, which has not been done at present.
He added that his absence during the Lilongwe-based outfit’s encounter at the weekend was not a result of the alleged suspension but because he is currently in Blantyre for medical attention following an illness.
“I still have a running contract with Epac FC. I only came to Blantyre because I am ill. It surprises me when reports indicate that I am fired or suspended because there are no such clauses in my contract,” he said.
