Mpulula offered Nomads job

Struggling Mighty Wanderers FC have offered Azam Tigers coach Leo Mpulula a coaching job.

Mpulula on Thursday confirmed the development, but was quick to say that he is still consulting. However, Wanderers general secretary David Kanyenda feigned ignorance about the issue.

“I got the letter yesterday [Thursday], but it is dated August 6 [2012] and they have given me a week to make up my mind.

“But I am not in a hurry as I have to first consult my advisers such as Charles Twalibu, Young Chimodzi and Jack Chamangwana. I have also advised Wanderers to have a plan B, in case I decide otherwise. I do not want them to be caught off guard,” said Mpulula.

Mpulula’s offer letter signed by Kanyenda, which Nation Online saw, indicates that apart from a monthly salary, he has also been offered game bonuses.

But Kanyenda maintained that it was not true that the Nomads had offered Mpulula the job.

Meanwhile, Azam Tigers general secretary Geoff Kachale has said Mpulula is still contracted to his team.
