Multichoice honours loyalty

Multichoice Malawi last weekend treated four families which emerged winners in their DStv Easter promotion to a three-day holiday.

Golden Kang’oma from Lilongwe, Michael Maliro and Kenneth Kamwamba—both Blantyre residents—and Idana Chimombo from Mzimba were treated to an all-expenses paid for three-day holiday at three different Sunbird Hotels.

On Easter Friday the winners, together with their families, were taken to Majete Game Reserve in Chikwawa where they spent a night at Sunbird Thawale before proceeding to Ku Chawe Inn in Zomba on Saturday and finally Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima on Sunday.

At Sunbird Thawale, which is also run by African Parks, the families enjoyed the experience of seeing the big five family which consists of buffaloes, lions, elephants, rhinos and leopards which is only present at Majete Game Reserve.

They also enjoyed a jeep ride while at Sunbird Ku Chawe Inn in Zomba and finished up their holiday adventure with a visit to the crocodile farm at Gwilize Village in Salima during their stay at Sunbird Livingstonia.

Kang’oma said the recognition and reward they have received from Multichoice is a motivation that will make them remain loyal customers and stay connected on DStv always.

“It has been a great experience that we will cherish for long. For the children, it has exceptionally been massive as they have physically seen some of the animals that they just see on TV. Now they can relate,” he said.

On his part, Maliro commended Multichoice’s gesture and he hoped that it is not a once-off thing as there are many other loyal customers who also deserve such an experience.

“The Easter is basically a family season which is mostly spent between home and church. By taking us on this holiday, Multichoice has added a spice to this holiday season,” he said.

One of the client handlers at Sunbird Thawale, Janet Kambalame, said the unique nature of the place, its exciting and beautiful natural environment makes it one of the most ideal holiday destinations not only in Malawi but the whole of Africa.

Multichoice Malawi sales executive Deborah Chauta said the treat to the winners and their families is one way of making their clients stay connected which eventually will spur the growth of their business.

She said it was clear that the families had a good time during the three-day treat. The promotion was designed to have five winners, but one winner pulled out at the eleventh hour because of other commitments.
