Musician Ghost, Difikoti attack gays in new track

Newly-turned gospel musician, Emmanuel Ghost Mbewe and Zambian comedian Difikoti, have joined the gay bashing train through a new release.

The track, dubbed Mathanyula, was recorded at Best Studios in Lusaka, Zambia where Difikoti is based.

The track is enjoying airplay on most radio stations.

In the track, the duo speaks against same sex marriages, saying God created man and woman with a purpose.

The artists say homosexuality is not only unbiblical, but it is also not in tandem with Malawian culture.

“God created Adam and Eve with a purpose. Why should a man marry a fellow man? This is unnatural and sinful before God,” muses Mbewe in the track.

The track, produced by prominent Zambian producer Mwawa Muzo, has a traditional beat.

“I thought of spreading God’s word through music. My heart burns when I hear about same sex marriages. Thus, I came up with this hit so that people have an informed choice,” said Mbewe in an interview.

The song comes a time gays have come in the open in fighting for their rights, declaring they be killed or granted their rights to same sex marriages.

The musician, who is also a Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldier based at Kamuzu Barracks in Lilongwe, has recorded other tracks such as Timkweze, Amatikonda, Wamayankhoand Tidzakuyamikanibeni.

The tracks will be incorporated in an album which will hit the market in April.

The artist is optimistic the release will sell due to outstanding talent fused in the tracks.

“I am optimistic that the album, which will come out in April, will mesmerise my fans. I have taken a lot of time to come up with the vibes just to make sure that I come up with the best quality which my fans deserve”, said Mbewe, who also features EvanceMereka in some songs.

The musician has four albums to his credit; Nyada Ufe, Mkwiyowaalimi, Njanjanjaand Chitserekwete.
