Musoliza defeats Tanzania boxer Mwakalinga

Ernest Musoliza, 23, on Sunday defeated Tanzanian Bruno Mwakalinga, 24, in an international bout held at Obrigado Leisure Park in Mzuzu.
The bout, which was organised by Northern Region Boxing Committee (NRBC), saw the Malawian boxer dominating most of the rounds.
No wonder at the end of the bout all the judges score sheets put Musoliza in the lead.
Judge Frank Pongoleni scored 78-76 Gibson Chisale scored 78-72 while Sekani Mkandawire scored 72-68 in favour of Musoliza.
In his remarks, Musoliza boasted that his aim was to finish off his opponent in the fourth round.
“My plan was to knock him out in the fourth round. But his holding me spoiled my plan,” said Musoliza.
On his part, Mwakalinga said he was happy to fight Musoliza, but was not comfortable with the judges rating.
“I am happy that I met a strong opponent who provided me with a good run,” said Mwakalinga.
