Mwakasungula retires from CHRR
The Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation (CHRR) has announced retirement of its executive director Undule Mwakasungula who has served the organisation for eight years.
The organisation has also announced the appointment of Timothy Mtambo as new CHRR executive director with effect from the April 1 2014. In a statement released yesterday, CHRR board chairperson Charity Salima said Mwakasungula’s retirement is with effect from December 31 2013. Salima described Mwakasungula as a selfless person who has contributed to the noble cause of Malawi.
Mwakasungula was appointed CHRR executive director in 2005 replacing Ollen Mwalubunju who served the organisation since its inception in 1995.
