Mzimba produces hit on Nigerian website

Jerome Music, real name Bizwayo Jere, has produced an Afro-pop track featuring Peter Banda titled Tonight that is a hit on Nigerian website chocolatecitygroup.com.
The 22-year-old, who started singing in 2009, says he always had a passion for music since his primary school days.
Jerome started recording his tracks at Propee’s Studio in Chirimba, Blantyre and since then, the artist has had tracks enjoying airplay on several radio stations.

His new tracks, Odi Odi, Iweyo and Helele Mama featuring Bucci, have enjoyed airplay since the end of last year.
“I am inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson, John Legend and Africa’s renowned acapella group Lady Smith Black Mambazo; these artists are some of the inspiration behind my desire to create a sound that stands time,” said the Blantyre-based musician, who hails from Mzimba.
Jerome, who hopes to work with more of Malawi’s finest music talents, urges fellow artists to be creative, inspired and to inspire others.
“Having worked with some of Malawi’s notable musicians such as producer Percy ‘Pro Pee’ Manyozo and Bucci, who recently featured on my new single Helele Mama, shows that learning is an act that works well if people respect other people’s talent,” said the Polytechnic student.
On his part, Manyozo says the artist is one of the best he has worked with.
“Jerome has a bright future in the music industry because he does it in his way; he has a unique touch,” he said.
