In what can be seen as a move towards solidarity for a fellow Malawian Natasha’s restaurant is urging people to vote for Fatima and get a meal for K500.

“If you vote for Fatima Nkata to remain in the Big Brother The Chase, you will pay K500 for any meal. Again, if you vote for Fatima for five days, you will get a free meal of your choice”.

That’s the campaign that Natasha Tonthola’s restaurant is running at Area 13 Market in Lilongwe aimed at saving her country mate.

“We want to make sure that Malawi’s representatives go far in the game because as days go by, the tougher going is getting. As such, we want to take advantage of customers who come here to encourage them to vote for Fatima. We need to play our part as both of these ladies are representing Malawi.

“We have realised that nothing much is being done to encourage Malawians on the mentality of voting for all our representatives. We cannot sit and watch simply because Natasha owns this place,” explained Iwalani Kachapila the restaurant manager.

He said there has been an overwhelming response since the campaign of saving Malawi’s representatives started two weeks ago when Natasha was nominated.

“We are getting not less than 15 votes everyday from our customers. And to make it more exciting, all those who will vote from Monday to Friday, get a free meal of their choice. This is apart from getting a meal at K500 if one votes for Fatima this week.

“The game is getting tougher by each passing moment. And as time goes by, Zimbabwe’s and Zambia’s housemates, the only countries who have a solid alliance with Malawi, are being nominated together with us. We, therefore, need to establish a concrete strategy that will see our housemates staying long in the game,” explained Kachapila.

Meanwhile, as stakeholders he said together with others, he is planning to conduct road -shows aimed at garnering more votes for Malawi’s representatives.

“In the next few weeks if not next week, we are starting roadshows that will take us to places where we will encourage people to vote more. We are also printing Natasha branded T-shirts which will be given to people during the roadshows. We are also encouraging organisations to make donations of prizes we can be handing out to people,” Kachapila said.
