According to Mwakikunga, Liwonde allegedly visited a traditional herbalist who advised him to have sexual intercourse with his daughter if he wanted to become rich or risk becoming insane.

The girl’s mother Martha Thenisoni allegedly agreed to the arrangement for fear of her husband becoming mad.

Thenisoni said Liwonde allegedly threatened to kill both herself and the daughter if they revealed what was happening and they complied.

Said Mwakikunga: “However, the girl’s uncle let the cat out of the bag when he visited them and realised his niece was pregnant with her step father’s child.”

The girl is now six months pregnant,, according to a medical report.
