Ndirande CCAP Choir raising money for charity

Ndirande CCAP Youth Choir in Blantyre has embarked on initiatives to raise money for implementing charity work, including cheering the sick and visiting prisoners during the Easter season.

Among others, the group has organised a gospel show at Ndirande CCAP Church schelduled for March 30 2014.

The group’s chairperson, Gerald Chisasiko, said they are targeting to raise K300 000 (US$737) during the show.

“Our first assignment will be to visit and cheer sick children in Umoyo, Sobo and Mangochi Wards. Then we will proceed to Chichiri Prison where we will share the word of God.

“We will also treat them to music, drama and encourage them that although they are incarcerated, they remain children of God.

“Those with empathy should come and patronise this show as one way of assisting us meet the needs of this initiative. If you can’t make it to the show, feel free to assist us through our session clerk, moderator or the choirmaster,” said Chisasiko.

Aspiring Members of Parliament (MPs) for Ndirande Malabada—Aaron Sangala (DPP), Noria Kachale (PP), Golden Makata (Independent), Gift Howahowa (MCP) and a Mr Chimwala from UDF—are scheduled to grace the show, according to Chisasiko.
