In an interview after a Paper Sunday, Moderator of the congregation, Reverend Enos Muhiwa, thanked God for what he described as His wonders working among people.

“We want by the end of this year to finish paying for the purchase of the land we are buying for other church development activities,” said Muhiwa.

Muhiwa said the church acquired land last August at K14.2 million, but only paid half of the price and is expected to pay off the balance by the end of this year.

Chairperson for the fundraising committee, Jonathan Makolija, thanked members of the church for being generous and committed.

“We gave our zones targets for us to raise the balance for buying the land. We are thankful to them all for working tirelessly to raise over K4 million. This is the first time we have raised such an amount,” said Makolija.

Ndirande-Kachere congregation has 3 500 members grouped in nine zones.

The Paper Sunday was spiced up with choruses by the church’s Praise Team and Kachere Singers.
