Thoko Katimba did it again! He just made Robin’s Park seem smaller. In reaction to the huge turnout that showed at the launch of his Nthambi album at Robin’s Park in Blantyre on Sunday afternoon, Katimba said he does not take the support his fans render to him for granted.

“This is a sign that people love my music and I do not take that for granted, next time I am planning to take my show to Kamuzu Stadium and by God’s will, I know it will happen,” said the pint-sized gospel musician.

Katimba shared the stage with Lucius Banda to perform duets of Soldier’s gospel hits Samuel and Farao.

The heat that was emitted by the over 3 000 patrons packed in the auditorium, could not match the heat ignited by the unusual combination of Katimba and Lucius.

Katimba also reunited Lucius with his old nemesis Mlaka Maliro who provided backed vocals for the duo’s performance.

The launch was full of surprises as Grace Chinga made an appearance to perform with Lucius.

Speaking at the show, Lucius hailed Katimba for daring to do something that most artists cannot do.

“I was nervous when I was coming here, I did not feel I am worthy to be before you and God, but I told myself I still have to perform. God bless you all for the support,” the self acclaimed Soldier told the patrons.
