Big Bullets will start the new season without their head coach Eddie Ng’onamo who is scheduled to leave for Denmark this Saturday where he will be attached to East Second Division side B 93 as an assistant to former Flames coach Kim Splidsboel.

Both Ng’onamo and the People’s Team acting general secretary Higger Mkandawire confirmed the development on Sunday.

Ng’onamo said he will be away in Denmark for a month.

“It is true. I have been invited by Kim and about 10 other lower league teams to assist them avoid relegation,” said Ng’onamo

Mkandawire insisted that Ng’onamo will still be the Bullets head coach until he returns.

“He has briefed us on his impending trip and he has our blessings.

“I am told the move has been facilitated by Kim, but I do not have full details for now.

“However, our understanding is that he will be there for a short period of time and we expect him to rejoin us once he returns,” said Mkandawire.

This will not be the first time for Ng’onamo to coach in Denmark, he has had successful spells with Danish lower league sides before.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Flames veteran forward Esau Kanyenda will also be attending trials at the same club after his return from China where he has travelled with the Flames for an international friendly match.
