Flames striker Robin Ngalande’s opening half-stunner put Ajax Cape Town on the path to a 2-1 win over visiting Dutch side PEC Zwolle in an international friendly match played on Saturday evening at Cape Town Stadium in South Africa.

Ngalande scored on the third minute with a curling effort, only for the visitors to draw level deep in the first-half through Becker’s effort before Lance Davids restored the South Africans’ lead when drilling in a low free kick.

South Africa football magazine Soccer Laduma also reported that Ngalande featured in Ajax’ second friendly match they lost 4-1 to yet another visiting side VfL Wolfsburg who are second on the German Bundesliga table.

Bas Dost scored twice for the visitors when adding to earlier strikes from Ivica Olic and Daniel Caliguiri, while Tashreeq Morris grabbed Ajax’s consolation. The German side fielded a strong squad that included Luis Gustavo of Brazil national team.
