“Nchalo golf course is very difficult, I have been playing here for sometime, but never got this far. I got a lot of inspiration from my playing partners and the weather was also kind,” said Ng’oma.

“I played very well from hole 12 to the last because I had threes all through,” said Ng’oma, who got a Callaway golf bag and a trophy as his prizes.

Yotam Saka had the longest drive on hole 14 in men’s category while Chalulu did it in the women’s category on hole 10. James Chimwaza was nearest to the pin on hole 18.

John Magombo got the senior golfer top award after counting out Chimwaza on 31 points. Medson Kalambule had the best back (18 points) while Tharang Makhecha had the best front (17 points).

Bollore’s managing director Roderick Phiri said the annual tournament offers them an opportunity to interact with their customers.

“We are also here to reaffirm our commitment towards supporting golf. It is also a manifestation of our appreciation for the business that Illvo and indeed other partners give us,” said Phiri.

Bollore donated K150 000 towards the maintenance of the greens.

Nchalo golf captain John Mphande thanked Bollore and the organisers for making the tournament a success.
