Nico General Insurance Company, a subsidiary of the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)-listed financial services group Nico Holdings Limited, says it will continue to be innovative in the micro-insurance and come up with client-focused products to penetrate the untapped market. “The company’s position as a market leader will continously be enhanced by world-class client services,” said a joint statement accompanying the company’s financial results signed by chairperson Felix Mlusu and chief executive officer Eric Chapola.

MBS reaffirms position
The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has reaffirmed its position as the designated national enquiry point (NEP) for handling areas covered in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) agreement on sanitary and phytosanitary measures. In a published statement, MBS advises the business sector to make use of the NEP to obtain information regarding standards.
