Nico Technologies sponsors K2.5m for Ictam conference
Nico Technologies has given K2.5 million to Information and Communications Technology Association of Malawi (Ictam) to facilitate the holding of its annual lakeshore conference in Mangochi.
In a statement, Nico Technologies chief executive officer (CEO) Clarence Gama said the company is proud to be associated with Ictam as it provides a platform for ICT players to showcase their services.
He said: “We live in a world that is rapidly evolving and constantly demanding technological solutions to modern day problems.
“As an ICT service provider in Malawi, we believe that this conference provides the right platform for sharing innovative ideas and growth.”
Gama further encouraged ICT players to remain resilient.
“With each new day comes a new development that the ICT industry in Malawi can leverage on. We need to stay on top of the game if we are to remain relevant,” he saidn.
Ictam president Bram Fudzulani thanked Nico Technologies for the financial support.
He said: “We don’t take this assistance for granted because it will go a long way in making sure we hold a successful conference.
“These three days will be beneficial in making sure that our technology services are developed further.”
The keynote speaker for this year is Allaboard Africa CEO Chris Tenga.
The conference will be held under the theme ‘Digital growth for economic advancement and sustainable development’.
Nico Technologies first supported the conference in 2018.
The conference will be held from December 16 to 17 2022.
