Be Forward Wanderers have said the executive committee is set to endorse the technical panel’s tenure when it meets later this week.

Technical director Jack ‘Africa’ Chamangwana, coach Yasin ‘Titch’ Osman and assistant coach Bob Mpinganjira’s contracts expired at the end of the season.

The Nomads vice-chairperson Gift Mkandawire said: “We have not had a decisive meeting yet, but in principle we will not change the current setup.

Tipped to continue: Osman (L) and Chamangwana

“It is everyone’s feeling [within the executive committee] that the technical panel did well and changing the setup would end up disturbing the rhythm.

“So, basically although it will depend on the outcome of that meeting, the general feeling is that we should let them continue. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”

Osman said they are waiting for the executive committee’s determination.

“Otherwise we held a meeting to review the previous season and held preliminary discussions on the forthcoming season. So, all we can do now is wait,” he said.

Last season, the Nomads won a double for the first time in years after clinching the Carlsberg Cup and Fisd Challenge Cup. They also won the Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza whose ultimate prize was a 26-seater Nissan Caravan bus. n
