Novelist Barnaba Zingani authors technical book
Fiction writer Banarba Zingani has moved from his comfort zone to non-fiction by authoring a technical book titled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
Zingani has five fiction titles to his name.
In an interview, Zingani, who works as senior maintenance supervisor at the Blantyre District Health Office (DHO), said he has decided to author a technical book to share the knowledge that he has in the field of electrical installation.
“This book is for those people who would like to pursue the trade as a career. For users, [of electrical appliances] it is a guide before calling a technician, for instance if a refrigerator is not cooling. For school leavers this book will help them know that the physics they learn in school is applied in engineering,” said Zingani, who boasts of over 30 years in this field.
The 162-page book covers topics such as fluids, safety, tubing, matter, electricity, filter driers, magnetism, compressors, electric motors, air conditioning, flow and operating controls.
The book is published by Zingani’s Atutulutu Publications.
Zingani was trained by Lilongwe Technical College and the Mombasa Polytechnic in Kenya.
His fiction titles are Ukaziputa Limba, Kugwira Njakata, Nzeru ZaYekha, Mphawi Wa Chuma and Ufiti.
