The elections took place on December 12 2015 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.

According to FAM constitution, board members are not allowed to hold other positions in domestic football bodies once elected, hence, the need for a replacement of Gunda.

NRFA chairperson Lameck Khonje on Wednesday explained that the committee is yet to meet to discuss on how it can fill the position.

Meanwhile, Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) has appointed Christopher Kuyeri as treasurer to replace Daud Mtanthiko who was also elected FAM executive member.

However, SRFA is yet to find a replacement for vice-chairperson Trouble Kalua who resigned last week.

FAM general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said the constitution is clear on the replacement, adding that he expects the associations to adhere to the constitution. n
