OG Issa Group of Companies on Friday boosted Big Bullets FC’s preparations for this afternoon’s Carlsberg Cup final against Mighty Be Forward Wanderers with a K2.5 million donation.

The group’s managing director Abdul Wahab Jagot said they made the donation after being approached by the People’s Team to assist towards their preparations for the finals as well as top up their budget to buy new players during the transfer window which was supposed to close today (Friday).

“They actually asked for K2 million, but we decided to give them K500 000 extra so as to motivate them as they prepare for the finals.

“We have always assisted Bullets, especially during the time when Kinnah Phiri was one of the trustees and we are hopeful that the donation will make a difference. We also wish them all the best as they take on Wanderers,” said Jagot.

The OG Issa boss also said apart from Bullets, OG Issa Group has supported netball and cricket.

Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo described the donation as timely.

“We only made the request this morning and by lunch hour, OG Issa Group of Companies had responded positively.

“I urge our supporters to return the favour by supporting OG Issa business, especially buying pipes and bottles from OG Issa Plastics. I would like to assure OG Issa management that the money will be used for the intended purpose,” said Moyo.

Apart from OG Plastics, the group comprises other companies such as OG Furniture and OG Construction.
